Awe-inspiring Adi Yogi
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the awe-inspiring Adi Yogi statue near Bangalore, and the experience was magical. The Sunday evening when I visited Adi Yogi turned out to be a serendipitous blend of natural beauty and spiritual tranquility.
The light drizzle, seemed like a celestial blessing, softening the air and adding a shimmering effect to the landscape. The sky was a breath-taking canvas, painted with the vibrant hues of the setting sun - deep oranges, purples, and pinks blending into one another, creating a picturesque twilight.
The Adi Yogi statue is a marvel to behold towering at 112 feet, world’s largest bust sculpture by the Guinness World Records. This colossal bust of Lord Shiva stands majestically against the backdrop of rolling hills. The hills provided a serene and imposing setting, making the statue appear even more magnificent. The intricate details of the sculpture, capturing the calm and profound expression of Shiva, were highlighted by the soft evening light, casting delicate shadows that added to its grandeur.
Circling around the statue, I felt a deep sense of peace and spirituality. The atmosphere was imbued with a quiet energy, a perfect blend of natural beauty and spiritual significance.
At the base of the imposing statue, in a mandapam, Lord Shiva is present as Yogeshwar Lingam, which was consecrated by Sadhguru, as manifestation of five of the major chakras in the human system. We did parikrama of the Lingam, offered our prayers and sat down for meditating in this energised atmosphere. The energy filled my soul and touched my inner being with a vibrance that is rarely felt in our life.
The huge premises allowed for a meditative stroll, where one could pause and reflect, soaking in the divine presence of Adi Yogi. The combination of the natural elements and the spiritual aura made the experience profoundly moving.
