Elephant Cub - in the shadows of trunks

Photographing a small group of elephants crossing a dirt track in Kabini National Park turned into a delightfully amusing adventure. As I waited quietly, camera in hand, the majestic herd emerged from the dense foliage, lumbering slowly across the path lit in late afternoon sun. Among them was a particularly adorable elephant cub, trotting clumsily to keep up with the adults. Its tiny trunk swung back and forth with exaggerated enthusiasm, as if it was testing out its own coordination.

Capturing that moment, with the cub's playful charm and the serene grace of the herd, was one of the highlights of my time in Kabini.
