Sub-adult elephant on soft morning light in Paar Region of Corbett National Park.

  • Sub-adult elephant in soft morning light.

In the gentle embrace of an early summer morning in the Paar region of Jim Corbett National Park, the air is alive with anticipation. As the sun begins its ascent, painting the sky with hues of soft pastels, as we made a turn to go to river bank, we were anticipating to find a tiger.

Suddenly, In the low morning light, few elephants as if appearing from a dream through the misty grass on our left and moved toward river on the right, like silent giants emerging from the shadows. Their majestic forms, bathed in the soft light of dawn, exude a quiet strength and grace as they traverse the familiar terrain. Each step they take upon the dusty tracks resonates with a sense of purpose, their movements synchronized in a timeless dance of unity and harmony.

With a reverence born of deep respect, I raise my camera, the lens a window to their world. Through the viewfinder, I witness the subtle interplay of light and shadow, the intricate details of their wrinkled hides illuminated by the morning sun. In this fleeting moment, I become a silent observer, capturing the essence of their existence in a single frame.

As a sub-adult elephant crossed the road to continue on his journey, I clicked it and watched its silhouette fading into the verdant embrace of the forest, I am left with a profound sense of awe. In the tranquil beauty of the Paar region, amidst the symphony of nature's melodies, I find solace and inspiration. And though the moment may be fleeting, the memories captured through my lens endure as a testament to the enduring magic of the wilderness.
