The Tigress fondly known as Noor (T-39) (Meaning the light) or Suptanpur Princess and the loving mother of two energetic, beautiful and agile cubs, was in Zone 1, RTR on the morning of 06th Nov, 2014. Huge number of spectators, wild life enthusiasts and photographers were waiting for it to appear. Some of them, strategically and luckily placed had few glimpses of it and the cubs playing close to water bank in the shrubs.
As mentioned earlier that me, Nischal and Ajit Singh decided to go away from the crowd and look for some other wildlife and were lucky to find a beautiful Leopard. After taking few beautiful clicks which the leopard allowed us, before retreating in the dense forest, we came back to the spot where everyone was waiting for Noor. Sunil Sharma and Umesh invited me on their vehicle and without stepping on the ground, I went to their Gypsy. Within a few minutes, the beautiful tigress Noor (T-39) strolled past in front of our vehicle in the dry bed of the river. It walked a graceful gait and without bothering even to look at any of the vehicles or onlookers. It walked in front of almost all the vehicles to go towards Sultanpur Chawki.
Sunil Sharma, Umesh and me decided to stay put as we wanted to click the cubs and almost every other vehicle left that place in pursuit of some good sighting or clicks of the graceful beauty. Only we, Mr. Thomas Vijayan in his vehicle and Mrs. Bina Kar in her vehicle stayed there. We stayed at the spot for some time and realized that the mother tigress has perhaps instructed the cubs to hide properly as they had stopped all activity and there was absolute silence. After some time we decided to go and try and see what Noor was up to. She had hunted and killed a young fawn of Spotted Deer on previous evening, but it was so small that it would not have satisfied the hunger of two energetic and metabolically hyperactive cubs and the hard working mother. We thought that Noor might have gone for finding another kill. So we also proceeded in the direction where it had gone. After moving for few hundred meters we heard the roar and growls of the tigress. When we reached, we realized that it had moved out of the dry ravine and crossed over the thin strip of forest and the track to go to the dense side of jungle, as our vehicle stopped near a clearing between the shrubs and trees, we could see it moving slowly to the deep forest. This picture was clicked at that moment.
